Maps

  • Undo/Redo buttons added
The Undo/Redo buttons become activated during map creation or modification. These buttons allow the user to undo or redo the previous map action.
  • Formatted well labels
Well labels (i.e., well name and associated text, such as bubble-plot information) can be positioned at any angle around well symbol.
Move labels using drag-and-drop. If labels are moved away from the well, a call-out appears.
  • Map text and map objects are now scaled relative to map size
By default, maps are now scaled to fit page size. Option to select page size (Map properties > Page setup). Option to set scale factor. After selecting Fit Width or Fit Visible, map re-scales automatically when window is resized.
  • Map toolbar added: buttons to zoom ROI in/out (i.e., increase/decrease map dimensions), select ROI, and pan.
  • Option to plot a secondary grid (e.g., lines of longitude/latitude in addition to UTM grid) on the map.
  • Option to plot grid labels in various geographic formats (e.g., DMS and headings).
  • Option to set font for bubble text.
  • The scale legend can be positioned anywhere on map using drag-and-drop, and formatted (right-click Properties or double-click).
  • The Map key can be positioned anywhere on map using drag-and-drop, and formatted (right-click Properties or double-click).
  • North arrow added. This can be positioned anywhere on map using drag-and-drop, and formatted (right-click Properties or double-click).
  • Option to plot well data along wellpath (see Map Object Properties).
  • Grids: Contour labels follow contours + option for shadow text.

Charts

  • Undo/Redo functions added
The Undo/Redo buttons will activate during management of chart data. These buttons allow the user to undo or redo the previous chart action.
  • Ability to display well sticks and production data about inserted map, with automatic positioning and non-overlapping call-outs.
  • New Insert Key Panel option. Keys for selection of data types (lithologies, etc.) can be placed anywhere on chart.
  • Auto-save added (chart can be recovered should ODM end unexpectedly before it's been saved properly).
  • New panel type for display of graphics based on production information. Plot x/y, bar, scattergrams, Gantt charts, etc.
  • Ability to re-size map within chart using drag handles.
  • New "Map Edit" dialogue. Double-click a map object within the chart to open the map within a map editor window. * Discrete data may now be used in the stacked curves display.
  • Printable page templates.
  • Ability to display min/max depths for point data types. Two different plot styles available. This new feature is under interval designer (Plot Properties).
  • Option to display page guides from within Page Setup dialogue.
  • Option to display comment text 'as is'.
  • Option to plot external graphics as backdrops on charts.
  • Auto-update enabled for edited data (change entries in a data table to see chart refresh).
  • Data sort options in the ties manager (sort alphabetically, or choose 1 of 4 other sort options)
  • Text box macros to specify changeable information such as chart name, current date, etc.

GIS

  • Can now use colour coding on polyline GIS data sets (still to come: symbology for point data sets) .

Well Browser

  • Project well management functions (add to project, remove from project, add, delete wells) now included.
  • Global search/replace added in well browser function. It's now possible to change/add values of well header parameters (except name/code) for multiple wells.

Utilities

  • Coordinate calculator added to the utilities – converts coordinates from one projection system to another.

Importing/Exporting

  • The well status parameter can now be mapped as part of the well headers import.
  • StratBugs import now handles multiple interpretations and bio-events.
  • Spotfire interface: Export ODM data to file in format suitable for direct import to Spotfire.

Dictionaries

  • New arrow buttons on graphics dictionary. When editing an image, these enable selection of images from other entries in the dictionary.
  • Option to sort entries in text dictionary alphabetically.

Miscellaneous

  • filter added to project browser.
  • New Default Directories category under Options form. Can now specify defaults for GIS, External grids and Map backgrounds. If the default directory is changed, any file previously referenced in the old default directory is automatically found in the new default. In this way, GIS/grid/map background files can be moved around.
  • Scale Picker added to Options ODM Configuration dialogue. Can now add new scale values and remove existing scale values during configuration.
  • Drag curves between curve dictionaries within Log Browser (so enables quick tidy of cached/unassigned logs) .
  • Well reports updated.
  • Added Borrow facility for FLEX licence manager.
  • Added Autosave option to pick/interval data. Should ODM crash, or otherwise be brought to an abrupt halt, it should be possible to recover uncommitted data.
  • Added option for automatic update checks
