In addition to their expertise in their own specialisations, our experienced production technologists understand and provide the essential links between the reservoir, drilling and process engineering disciplines. They are also aware of the benefits of recognising and implementing the many new technologies as they appear.
The upstream technologies for the development of hydrocarbon fields include means of optimising and enhancing production, integrated asset modelling, flow assurance and completion design. There are open server tools in software development, sand and water management and a variety of commercial support systems. The support and co-operation of other teams within Senergy facilitates fully integrated field planning and development by calling on the skills of specialists in; Petrophysics; Geology; Geophysics; Reservoir Engineering; Well planning; Completions; Workovers; and Surface network modeling.
These skills are focussed through six core product streams:
- Integrated Full Field Development
- Brownfield Production Optimisation
- Well Completions and Workover Design and Planning
- Integrated Asset Modelling
- Production Enhancement
- Specialist Products
Production Enhancement
Senergy’s production enhancement success derives from a unique blend of skills which focus on the key connection between the reservoir and wellbore. From pore scale identification of damage mechanisms through to optimum sandface completion design, we use extensive geological and engineering experience to increase production and optimise injection in existing and future wells.
From unconsolidated reservoirs which require sand management through to low permeability reservoirs, well history, log analysis, modelling and laboratory data are used to identify formation damage.
Supported by Senergy’s production technology and geomechanics teams, our specialists in formation damage, stimulation design, geology, petrophysics, reservoir and completions engineering bring real and measurable value to clients around the world.
Formation Damage
The term ‘formation damage’ covers any reduction in near wellbore permeability which results from activities such as drilling, completion, production, injection, attempted stimulation or any other well intervention.
We can assess the risk of and mitigate such damage during drilling and production and assess risk and the extent of subsidence, compaction or casing damage in high depletion scenarios.
What do we do about Damage?
We examine and measure any damage and diagnose and try to understand the mechanisms behind it. We then prescribe and implement ways of rectifying the problem and guarding against a recurrence.
We don’t sell well hardware or logging services, so the service we provide is fully independent and impartial, with a pragmatic approach to geomechanical and formation integrity concerns.
